Tonite is the senior prom. Alyssa, Sarah and Karlie opted to go out to a nice restaurant for dinner instead of going to the prom. They all got new dresses and are, as we speak, having dinner at the Blue Grillhouse in Bethlehem. It's a very expensive restaurant, but the way I look at it, it'll end up being cheaper than what it would have cost for a dress, accessories and prom ticket. I've been at the Blue quite a few times because of work dinners (which are paid for by the pharmaceutical company, which makes it even nicer...LOL), so I could explain how things are done there. Everything is ala carte and the sides are actually family style. If you order asparagus or mashed potatoes, for example, there's enough of each to feed several people. My favorites at the Blue are crabcakes and the fresh berries for dessert.

Yes, proms are rediculously expensive anymore and really not what they used to be (haha sounds funny saying that in reference to a prom--especially since I did not go to any of mine (that was when there was a junior & senior promI).
