I was just looking at my daily trivia on the left side of my blog. I noticed that today in 1950 the first kidney transplant took place. Many things have changed since then, I'm sure. I know that there have been many changes since I began working with kidney transplant patients in 1998. When I began in '98, we had about 60 transplant patients...now we have over 120. Some of them received their transplants from a deceased donor, some from a sibling, parent or child and some from a spouse or co-worker. It surely is a Gift of Life!
