Ben Beesley

I've very briefly met these two sweet children and their parents.  I'm sure none of them remember me....I've never forgotten any of them, however.  The family is friends with Kurt's brother and his wife and their families.  I have followed their blog for several years.

Their dad has written a book for his children, take a minute and watch the video, then consider ordering the book.  All the proceeds will go towards Sanfilippo research.

Handbell Songs

My WONDERFUL, FANTASTIC, KIND, ADORABLE, GENEROUS, HELPFUL nephew Matt was such a sweetheart and figured out how to upload both of these bell festival songs on to YouTube for me so I could link them here on my blog :)

He video'd them the night of the concert using his phone, then sent them to me via Dropbox.  First I couldn't figure out how to work Dropbox, then I couldn't figure out how to get them on my blog.  Alyssa suggested that I put them onto YouTube, but computer illiterate me had no clue how to upload something onto YouTube.

I told Matt last night, via email, that I was just gonna keep the videos on my desktop and have Adam help me this weekend when he gets home.  I got home from bell rehearsal tonight and, lo and behold, there's an email from Matt with links to both songs he had put on YouTube:)

I sent him email smooches from me and Adam (Adam had no clue he was even gonna be helping me...LOL!).  Matt's response was, "Oh, please have him shave first ;-)  I love the kid, but don't want a smooch with that beard!"

Thanks, Matt!!

Penn State Weekend

Several members of our handbell choir participated in the annual Nittany Valley Handbell Festival in State College on Saturday, April 14th.  Alyssa and I took the opportunity to spend the entire weekend in Happy Valley :)  We got to visit with Adam a bit and spend some time with Matt, Karlyn and kids.

Over twenty handbell choirs practiced songs all day under the direction of Hart Morris.  Later that evening, we presented a concert for the public performing all the songs we had practiced throughout the day.  It was a long day, but so much fun :)  We even had some familiar faces in the crowd...Matt and Karlyn came to see us perform.  Thanks, guys!

Working hard during our practice:

A view from the back:

This was just before the concert began:

Look how huge these chimes are:

Sheri spent the weekend with us, we had a great time:

You'd think she was the star of the show :)

Here's our group, from left to right, front to back,

Sheri, Alyssa and I slept in on Sunday, then we headed to Baby's for an early lunch before doing a bit of shopping downtown:

Sheri couldn't resist trying this burger.  You'll notice it's not your average bun:)  Yep, that's a donut!!

Apple fritter dessert:

Remember this!?!?

Look at that baby :)

Our last stop before heading home:

Our purchases:

We stopped at the Macaroni Grill in Harrisburg for dinner on our way home.  I found this sink interesting:

We took this picture for Kurt:

**I have a video of one of our songs we performed, I just need to take the time to upload it :):)

Hysterical!!

I don't know what they've done with my Adam, but I think I like the new one :)
(not like I didn't like the old one!)

Wowzers!

Either we have a secret driller in our midst....or a woodpecker gone crazy :)
(and, take note, they've put holes on both sides of the tree!!)

Adam's Home!

This is the first weekend Adam's been home since he left after Christmas break. It's been so nice having both kids here :) Of course, he's been working on his car!

The wash pole to the right in this picture is leaning to the right, which in turn means whenever I put clothes on the wash line, they hang down so far they almost touch the grass. I asked Adam to help me figure out a way to prevent that from happening. My ingenious son used a chain and come-a-long and pulled the pole towards the house, which immediately pulled all the wash up :)

Finished product:

Oh, yeah, and then there's this:

Meet Katrina :)
