Jamie made this for me for my birthday!
I LOVE IT!!!
I LOVE IT!!!
She cross stitched it in a couple of weeks (better than I can do!!) AND framed it herself, besides!
This explains why, out of the clear blue, a few weeks ago, she says to me, "What are those things called when you're sewing that look like knots??"
I'm like, "Uh.....french knots? Why are you asking!?!?"
I absolutely love anything Amish....AND on top of it....I love quilts!! This is perfect! I will cherish it forever!!

It's beautiful! She did a great job and she seems like a wonderful friend to have!
Michele, Happy belated Birthday to you. Yes, you are Jamie are very good for each other and make wonderful friends. You can see that when I have been around you and her together at different functions together. You both do make lovely gifts. Those are the kind of gifts I truly enjoy, the homemade ones I mean. Because you put yourself in to the project and the receiver reaps the rewards of your love.
So, again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Sue, you're not late...my bday is this coming Wednesday the 20th...the big 5-0! Seems a bit odd to have a BFF 21 years younger than you, huh?!?!?
And that other pic was done on Picasa...there's a button you can click on to make it look like that. Jamie showed me how to do it (that's why I need a hip BFF...to show me things like that...LOL!!)
LOL michele =)
i won't tell you that the framing lady asked if i made the xstitch for my mom =) and then she kinda looked at me when i said, "no, my best friend!" LOL
it was a pleasure to make it b/c i know it was a perfect gift for you who taught me to xstitch (so perfect i couldn't wait until your bday to give it to you hehe!)
I told Jamie that you would "just love it" and that it would mean more since it came from her. Did she tell you that she has me to thank for that "french khot" lesson? The day I did that, I had one of my scrub tops on so I had to practice on that as I hadn't done a french knot since I made the picture (that still isn't hanging) for Alyssa. The one of the Lord's Prayer, I mean. Enjoy you picture! I know you will.
The cross-stitch reminds me of Holly Hobby (the one from when I was a kid, not the modern version). I think it's really cute.
