Our New Church Sign....

SAYS IT ALL!!!

Our life at Emmanuel's changed in almost an instant in the last two months. Within that time period, Pastor Barry went from not feeling well, to being admitted to a Philadelphia hospital, to having his liver shut down, to being placed on top of the waiting list for a liver transplant. On Thursday, he was fortunate enough to receive a cadaveric liver transplant. The surgery went well, his new liver is 'healthy and beautiful'....he now begins the long, long recuperation process. If you are so inclined, any prayers would be appreciated that he would have an uncomplicated recovery with no infection and no rejection. In addition, he is in acute renal failure and requiring dialysis....please pray that his kidneys would recover that he can come off dialysis. Finally, pray for Pastor Elizabeth, their sons Kurt and Eric and our church family at Emmanuel's.

Michele, I will put them on my church's prayer list tomorrow when I go to church.

Is he the pastor that married John and Jamie? If so, he was so kind to us all.

God answers all our prayers, just hope he answers them the we want them answered.

God Speed, Pastor Barry.

Yeah, Sue, he's the one. He's a super nice guy, haven't figured out why his liver shut down, even after doing the biopsy. it's gonna be a long haul for him....

Thanks for the prayers and putting him on the prayer list!

PB has been on our prayer chain at church for several weeks. We pray that all continues well for him and his family.

He's doing very well, he was recently transferred to a regular floor from the intensive care unit. The docs are impressed with how good his liver blood work looks. He has begun eating solid foods and has been out of bed several times, although he is very weak. He does remain on dialysis, but overall, things are looking up. Thanks for asking!
