Junior Year End Antics

I can not believe that Alyssa is almost done with her junior year at Penn State!! Next year will be an interesting, busy one for her. Her first semester has her doing pre-student teaching, which at this point can be anywhere within 60-70 miles of Penn State (she hasn't been told exactly where she's going yet). She will be going to a school every morning, then returns for classes in the afternoon. Her second semester will be student teaching and she has learned that she will be assigned to the Pittsburgh area; this means she will need to re-locate to that area for her last semester at Penn State. She and Sarah will not be rooming together next year....in fact, they are together for their last couple of days...Sarah is done with her finals on Tuesday...Alyssa has her last one on Thursday evening.

Alyssa will be living with Kristen (fondly known as K-Ten) for the fall semester...they will be sharing a townhouse with two other students that Kristen knows. There are two additional students that live in this townhouse, but are studying abroad for the fall semester, but will be returning for their spring semester. Thus this all works out perfectly....Alyssa and Kristen will rent the space for the fall, then the other girls come back in the spring, while Alyssa is in Pittsburgh and Kristen is doing an internship out of the area.

These pics I borrowed from Kristin's Facebook (not the Kristen that Alyssa will be living with...). She came up for the weekend to hang out with Alyssa and Sarah. On Saturday they went to the year end DiscipleMakers picnic and somewhere along the line ended up in the toy aisle at Walmart...LOL!!!

It seems like Alyssa just left for college. How can she only have one more year to go?

Yeah, really! Tell me about it...

Your son attempted to help her with a computer issue a few weeks ago...he really went above and beyond to try and straighten things out for her :)

I know Alyssa appreciated his help!

He loves to do that. I am amazed at his willingness to help and his ability to figure things out even from a remote distance. I have no idea what he talks about most of the time. I'm getting old!!!
