Sayonara.

Finally I can kiss my old job goodbye.  You know that practice that screwed me over and left me go after I dedicated my LIFE to them?  That practice that decided they no longer needed an RN?  That group that I went above and beyond for?  History.  Finally.

My last physical day there was Monday, December 30, 2013.  My last 'day' really though was Monday, May 18, 2015.  That was Alyssa's last day at that office.  She'd worked there for the last 3 years.  No matter how hard I tried to forget...it just never happened.  Alyssa came home every night from work and would tell me about her day.  She'd talk about the staff...she'd talk about the physicians (including those who stabbed me in the back)...she'd tell me about the patients that asked about me.  As hard as I tried to let it go, I just couldn't do it.

I have noticed a difference already; not a day would go by that I didn't think about the office, the patients, the physicians (especially those who screwed me).  She's been gone almost a month now and I realized today that days had gone by since I thought of anything related to the office.  I can finally put this behind me.  Finally.

**For those who don't know, Alyssa is now an Associate Project Manager at a company in Horsham that provides supplies to pharmaceutical companies for their clinical trials both nationally and internationally.  Her Aunt Fiona was instrumental in making her aware of the position (Thank you!). She started Wednesday, May 20 (my birthday!).  She's learning a lot, but likes it and says it's a great place to work.  She likes her paycheck, too, which has close to doubled!  It's a bit of a drive right now (about and hour and a half each way), but she is planning on getting an apartment in the next couple of months somewhere near the office.  I'm sad that she'll be leaving home, but it's time.  She'll be 26 in a few months....it's time for her to move on.  The good news is that she'll only be an hour and a half away.  It could be much worse ;-)
