After many, many years of this shower curtain with the fishies, I finally replaced it with a new one. I'm very pleased with the new one!! I like the new hooks, too ;-)

Moving Day and The New Digs
Three months after starting her new job in Horsham, Alyssa finally found an apartment about 5 minutes from her job. Saturday the 29th was moving day. All went well, except for one small incident that involved a flying tote on Route 248 :-(
A huge thanks to everyone who helped move all her belongings to her new apartment.
See that tote behind the tire? The one that has one strap on it? Yeah, that's the one that went flying about ten minutes into our drive. Fortunately the only thing that broke was one glass and two Penn State shot glasses.

Adam 'bought' Alyssa a window air conditioner for her bedroom. 'Bought' is in quotes cuz you owe us $$ Adam ;-) She has a big air conditioning unit in her living/dining area, but it doesn't really cool the bedroom all that well. We moved Alyssa in on Saturday the 29th and ended up driving back down there two days later to buy the air conditioner at Lowe's and Kurt installed it for her that evening. After a late dinner, we got home that night after midnight.

Her cute little kitchen. It has the two requirements she insisted on....a dishwasher and garbage disposal!
A different view of the living room. The door in the middle of the picture is the door where you come in to her apartment, the hall to the right goes to her bedroom and bathroom:

New end tables, shelving units from Ikea that she and Sarah bought this past weekend. Sarah helped her put it all together and they rearranged the living room:
Bottom line: It's very weird here at home with no kiddos :-( I totally miss both of them. This first week was a little unusual in that we ended up seeing Alyssa four times in the first ten days she was gone. I think it's gonna set in real soon that's she's gone for good. The good news is she's only about 1.5 hours away. And Adam, who's in Oklahoma for a year, is coming home for a long weekend at the end of this month :-)
Times they are a'changing.....
What To Do.
What to do over a three day weekend. Hmmm. I know. Let's take an eleven hour road trip from Oklahoma to Colorado to visit Pike's Peak!
(Enjoy Adam's pics)
